Muehlhan Industrial Services announced today that it expands its European and BeNeLux presence with the strategic acquisition of Steigerbouw van der Panne, a Dutch-based specialist in scaffolding and access at height solutions.

Van der Panne is a leading player of scaffolding and access at height solutions in the industrial, offshore, infrastructure and construction markets. The company provides its services on-site to asset owners throughout Belgium and The Netherlands.

The company, a family-owned business, was founded in 1984 by its namesake, Wout van der Panne. It was established at the location of its former sister company, Havenbedrijf Atlantica BV in Rotterdam South, close to De Kuip stadium. Under the leadership of Rob Bos, the company grew from its original purpose of “absorbing Atlantica's downtime” to a subcontractor in scaffolding projects and, under the leadership of Rob’s son Pascal Bos, continued to develop to an independent and professional scaffolding contractor for small to large scaffolding projects. The company is renowned for its relentless commitment to safety and quality, state-of-the-art expertise, can-do mentality, committed employees, stock of materials and professional logistics. The acquisition of the Van der Panne fits seamlessly with the Muehlhan Industrial Services strategy of strengthening its core business in the European market. The transaction strengthens Muehlhan's market presence and its regional service offering for its customers.
